Biodiversity and Climate change conference
On the 21st - 22nd of May 2007, the Belgian Biodiversity Platform organized a conference in Brussels on the theme: “Biodiversity and climate change”. The main objective of this conference was (1) to get an overview of research projects conducted in Belgium on the interactions between biodiversity and climate change and (2) to draft recommendations to policy makers on research priorities to develop in order to elaborate scientifically sound mitigation and adaptation measures.

Biodiversity and climate change stakeholder's consultation
During April 2007, the Belgian Biodiversity Platform organized a consultation in order to assess how climate change is perceived in various sectors of activities related to biodiversity in Belgium, including nature conservation, agriculture, horticulture, forestry, fishery, development cooperation, tourism and health.

Forum's first project: Integrate climate change into sectoral practices in Belgium
On the 25th of June 2008, scientists and stakeholders involved in the first phase of the project were invited to the kick-off meeting of the project. The aim of this meeting was to discuss the content of the 3 work packages and identify possible collaborations.
